A selection of photographs by Dashi Jahfar shot during a short trip to Nepal with Skate Nepal co-founder Gaurab Thakali in November 2017
In October 2017 – just months after the construction of ‘Annapurna Skatepark’ – Skate Nepal organised the collection of donated skateboard goods in the UK with the intent of donating them to the skate community in Nepal. Donations of worn in but still in good condition skateboard gear including skateboard decks, shoes, wheels, and hardware were donated by good natured individuals from all across the UK. Following collection, we organised a trip to deliver these goods to Nepal, holding small events at both the KTM and Annapurna skateparks for the local skate community. This series of photographs are a documentation of this trip through Dashti’s lens.

Dashti’s portfolio spans fashion, studio and street disciplines of photography all of which he approaches with an intimacy to show an unseen side of the subject. Firstly studying graphic design, this led Dashti onto photography with the design element leading his images with a methodical eye. Easily at home framing models behind the scenes at fashion shows and on the busy streets photographing strangers, Dashti gets stuck into any project given to him.
